Microsoft Hyper-V is a server virtualization product developed by Microsoft Corporation, which provides virtualization services through hypervisor-based emulations. Which enables administrators to make better use of their hardware by virtualizing multiple operating systems to run off the same physical server simultaneously.
With Hyper-V, you can virtualize server operating systems in the data center your desktop and most everything in between. Microsoft Hyper-V is a server virtualization is a server hypervisor that enables consolidation of a single physical server into many virtual servers, all sharing the hardware resources of the host server and powered by Hyper-V.
To install Hyper-V, open Server Manager and click on “Add roles and features” to install the role of Hyper-V.
On Add Roles and Features Wizard console will explain us about the importance of roles and features wizard. Click on Next
install Hyper-V select the option Role-based or feature-based installation. Click next to jump.
Select Server and Click on Next
When you Check Box the Hyper-V auto open The following tools are required to mange this feature, but do not have to be installed on the same server. Click on the Add Feature
Click on Next
Now click Next button. Do not select any features in Features option and click Next button. Click Next button in above Hyper V window.
Click on Next
Here select network adapter for virtual switches. In Virtual Live Migration windows you can configure live migration it now or later. Then click Next button.
if you need to Hyper-V can be configured to send and receive live migrations of virtual machine on this server. configuring Hyper-V now enables any available network on this server to be used for live migrations. If you want to dedicate specific network for live migration, use Hyper-V settings after you install the role.
Check Allow this server to send and receive live migrations of Virtual machine, Then Click on Next
Now, configure the location to store Hyper V virtual hard disk files. Click Next button.
Click on the install to installation
Installing the Hyper-V
Click on Close and automatic restart the system
Now open Hyper V Manager from start menu to configure it.
Click on the connect to Server
Select the server local or another Hyper-V server and then click on Ok
