  • When using the Incremental backup method, it can be set to use Synthetic orActive full backup for full backup.
  • Neither of these (Synthetic or Active) can be used either.
  • In this case, this is called Forever Forward Incremental Backup .
  • In this case, a Full Backup of the machine will be provided first.
  • Then increments or restores are created over time (eg every day) .
  • The point is that the number of these increments or restores cannot be greater than a certain number because an item called Retention Policy should specify how many chains a backup will have.
  • Even if the Retention Policy item is not configured and the default number is set ( 2 ) then we will always have a Full Backup and 13 Incremental or Restore Point numbers.
  • The second point is that the capacity (to 14) Incremental old original Full Backup files injected and erased , and indeed room for Incremental or new Restore Point is to be opened.
  • Whether or not to choose this method depends only on the type of network and the scenario.
