Veeam backup & replication can add ESXi or vCenter hosts. If your ESXi is managed by vCenter, it is advisable to introduce vCenter to Veeam instead of the host. Because in this case, when virtual machines migrate between hosts, there is no need to redefine the Backup Job. In this case, Veeam Backup and Replication will automatically detect Migrate virtual machines and will continue to back it up by knowing the physical location of each VM.
To add a VMware vSphere Server, use the New VMware Server wizard.
Enter the Veeam Backup & Replication Management Console.
Click on the Backup Infrastructure from the left menu and then select VMWare vSphere.
In the New VMware Server window, enter the name or IP address of the ESXi or vCenter in the DNS field.
In the Credentials step, add the user account with access to the vCenter or ESXi management and click Next.
After the communication with vCenter or ESXi is checked and Connection is executed through the SSH protocol, the Summary page is displayed. Clicking Finish will end the process of adding vSphere Server.

Veeam Backup & Replication Tutorial A single-tick website related to version 9.5 and update 1 is the latest update. If you use version 9.5 without an update, you must install Update 1 to add vCenter or ESXi Version 6.5. Otherwise, this vSphere version is not supported.
The more common routine of Backup software is that we initially introduce the various systems that we intend to back up. In the Veeam Backup & Replication software, we can provide different backups of different platforms. For example, this software provides backup of virtual hosts and virtual machines, including physical hosts hosting Windows and Linux types. This article describes how to add virtual infrastructure servers. But about other platforms, it's pretty much the case.
After introducing different platforms, Veeam Backup and Replication requires Job Backups to be defined. (It's usually the same in other Backup software.) These Jobs have different settings. (Runtime, How to Run, etc.) In the future tutorial, we'll talk about creating and managing Backup Jobs in Veeam Backup & Replication.
Do not forget that if you have questions about this software and articles written in it, you can share it with the comments.
