  • By default, the operating system's hard drive and the server on which the veeam program is installed are considered as a repository and backup storage.
  • Of course other repositories should also be introduced to the server.
  • The storage spaces have different formats and protocols. Therefore, depending on the type of network, one must select the items.

  • Log into the main server and veeam application.
  • Enter the Backup Infrastructure section .
  • Enter the Backup Repositories section .
  • Right-click and select Add Backup Repository .
  • From the Type field, you should specify what the connection type to the disk is.(Suppose you can create a Windows server and attach all the disks and hard disks to it, as well as configure Reid to enhance it, and eventually the entire Windows Server part with the disks. Introduced as a Repository server to veeam software.)
  • In the Server section, select the server you want and click Populate to display the disks.

  • By default the steps are set to default.
  • Finally, after Finish, a message asks you whether you want the repository configuration to be stored on the repository itself or not.
